What to Expect After Submitting a Brooklyn Donation Form

After you submit your online donation form, we will contact you within about 24 hours to schedule a pickup. That follow-up is the next step in arranging your Brooklyn car donation. We will work with you to choose a pickup time and location that fit your needs.

The timing refers to our contact with you to arrange pickup, rather than the vehicle being collected within that same period. If you have a question while waiting to hear from us, call us at 1-646-402-6102.

What happens during the follow-up?

Our follow-up is focused on arranging the pickup of your vehicle. Tell us where the vehicle is located and when you are available to allow pickup. We arrange vehicle pickup and towing at no cost to you, and we choose a time with your needs and schedule in mind.

Before that conversation, consider which days and times would work best for you. Having a few possible options in mind can make it easier to discuss your availability without having to work through your calendar during the conversation.

Useful details to have in mind

You do not need to turn your waiting time into a complicated project. A few simple notes can help you explain your situation clearly when we contact you:

  • The vehicle’s location: Have the address handy and note anything you would like to explain about where it is parked.
  • Your availability: Think about convenient pickup times and any commitments you need to work around.
  • The vehicle’s condition: Be ready to describe it, including whether it runs.
  • Your questions: Write down anything you want to ask about donating or arranging pickup.

These are practical suggestions to help you prepare for the conversation. We accept cars, trucks and motorcycles, including vehicles that do not run, so a nonrunning vehicle is something you can discuss with us.

What if your plans change?

If your availability or the vehicle’s location changes after you submit the form, let us know when we speak. If you would rather discuss the change sooner, call us. Sharing your current plans helps keep the scheduling conversation focused on the arrangement you need now.

You can also call if you have a time-sensitive question. Tell us what you need to work around so we can discuss pickup scheduling with you directly.

Keep the next step simple

If you have already submitted your form, the next step is our follow-up within about 24 hours to arrange pickup. Keep your preferred times and questions handy, then discuss the details with us when we contact you.

If you are still getting started, start your Brooklyn car donation online. Prefer to speak with us first? Call us at 1-646-402-6102 to ask questions or begin your donation by phone.
